This week’s GT results brought another shake-up to the Warhammer 40k competitive landscape, with several factions continuing strong surges while others struggle to tread water. With events stabilizing under the current balance dataslate, patterns are becoming clearer—and a few standout surprises are beginning to shape the meta.
Top Performers: Deathwatch and Adeptus Mechanicus Lead the Charge
Deathwatch claim the top spot with a 60% win rate, though with only eight players in the dataset their dominance is more a signal than a certainty, taking down an event 7-0 certainly solidifies their status as a strong viable army. Still, the army continues to overperform in the hands of specialists who know how to unlock their flexible Kill Team synergies.
Right behind them sits the faction everyone should be watching carefully: Adeptus Mechanicus, posting 56.35% win rate with 27 players. AdMech remain one of the most consistently strong armies across events, and their 1 undefeated run reinforces what players have been feeling, this faction is not only durable but extremely efficient on the table. Their steady performance every week positions them as one of the armies most likely to receive attention in the next balance dataslate.
Thousand Sons and Leagues of Votann also sit comfortably in the mid-50% range, reinforcing a meta where durable mid-board armies with layered defensive tools remain central to consistent tournament success.
Steady Mid-Tier: Space Marines and Aeldari Hang On
Space Marines continue to show up in force—72 players, the largest population by far—but despite sheer numbers they manage a respectable 51.4% win rate with five undefeated runs across the week. This confirms that Marine internal balance is in a healthy place: the faction isn’t oppressive, but it rewards strong list crafting and tight play.
Aeldari, while no longer the dominant force of early 10th Edition, remain solid at 49.86% win rate. They are no longer a terror of the meta—but they’re far from weak.
Surprise Spotlight: Victrix Guard Rising
A notable development this week is the emergence of Victrix Guard as a serious competitive tech piece. Several undefeated lists included them, and one list went 5–0 running a massive block of 18 Victrix Guard, a clear signal that this unit is gaining traction.
Their durability and sheer board presence offer tools that Marine players are beginning to leverage with impressive results. Expect to see more Ultramarines-flavored lists incorporating Victrix walls as the meta evolves.
The Low End: Sororitas, Chaos Marines, and Imperial Knights Struggle
At the bottom of the field, three factions continue to have a rough time:
Adepta Sororitas — 42.11%
Despite recent highs, Sisters find themselves at the bottom this week. Their fragility and reliance on specific damage spikes make them inconsistent, maybe influenced by the influx of marine players perhaps? Sisters still posted one undefeated run so it might just be a statistical anomaly that their overall winrate fell so far.
Chaos Space Marines — 38.86%
A surprising drop for a faction that previously performed well. The nerfs to key units earlier in the edition seem to be catching up, and CSM players are struggling to find stable archetypes.
Imperial Knights — 29.03%
