Last week Atlanta saw players from across the globe converge for the World Championships of Warhammer 2025, each vying for not just personal glory but national pride as well. The event’s intense strategic battles and painting competitions offered a full-spectrum showcase of the hobby and sport, making it one of the standout weekends in the 40K calendar. Our fellow hobbyists from Malaysia put in strong results while facing the best of the best from every country.
Daniel had 5 wins - 3 losses with his Lions of the Emperor Adeptus Custodes!
Husain came in with 4 wins - 3 losses - 1 draw with Hammer of the Emperor Astra Militarum.
Chris posted a strong 3 wins - 5 losses with Combined Arms Astra Militarum.
To get any win against such tough competition is an achievement in itself and our reps took multiple! Plus we got this amazing shot of Chris proudly holding the Jalur Gemilang with Daniel and Husain! Awesome showing guys!

Meta Report
This week’s GT results delivered one of the most balanced – yet still sharply defined – metas we’ve seen in months. While several armies pushed above the 55% win-rate line, the wider spread of competitive factions shows that players are both teching well and adapting quickly to the evolving landscape.
Top Performers
Adeptus Mechanicus sit at the top with a 57.14% win rate, continuing their strong post-codex momentum. Their combination of durable shooting platforms and flexible scoring tools makes them a reliable tournament staple.
Close behind are Aeldari and Thousand Sons, both landing just under 57% win rate. While Aeldari continue to thrive on mobility and board control, Thousand Sons posted efficient results despite lower representation—with strong conversions into high finishes.
Adepta Sororitas remain a quiet overperformer at 54.55%, once again proving that skillful play and tight resource management can elevate this army above expectations.
Rising Threats
A standout story this week: World Eaters. With solid win rates (52.29%) and three undefeated players, they punched well above their statistical averages. Their explosive melee pressure appears to be catching unprepared players by surprise, especially in a meta leaning toward elite shooting armies.
Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Knights also pushed into the 50–51% range, continuing Chaos’ overall resurgence across multiple datasheets.
Middle of the Pack Stability
A cluster of factions sat just under 50%, including Genestealer Cult, Tyranids, Grey Knights, and Chaos Daemons. These armies remain extremely matchup-dependent—devastating when they get the right pairings, but unforgiving when they don’t.
Necrons, Space Marines, and Orks all posted results in the 47% range, suggesting stable but not dominant performance across events.
Struggling Factions
The bottom end of the meta this week consists of Adeptus Custodes, Death Guard, Imperial Knights, and Blood Angels, all hovering between 40–45%.
The biggest outlier is Imperial Agents, closing at exactly 40%, hampered by low representation and rough matchups across the field.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the competitive field remains diverse, with no single faction dominating GTs. Adeptus Mechanicus continue to rise as the army to watch, while World Eaters’ sudden spike shows that the meta remains volatile and open to innovation.
If this trend continues, next week may bring even more shakeups — especially if players begin to target the current top dogs with harder counters and specialized tech.
